Patchcord Extralink LC/UPC - LC/UPC Single Mode G.652D, 3 mm, 2 m
Patchcord Extralink LC/UPC - LC/UPC Single Mode G.652D, 3 mm, 2 m is a single-mode fibre patchcord designed for connecting optical equipment and patch panels in telecom and data networks. The cable uses G.652D fibre inside a 3 mm FTTH jacket and is terminated at both ends with LC/UPC connectors in simplex configuration. With a 2 m length and small-diameter construction, the patchcord provides low insertion loss and consistent optical performance for short interconnects and cabinet patching.
This Extralink LC/UPC–LC/UPC patchcord offers stable single-mode transmission characteristics suitable for 10 Gbps links and typical FTTH deployments. Its LC/UPC connectors ensure precise ferrule alignment and low back reflection while the 3 mm jacket provides adequate mechanical protection and flexibility for routing in racks and enclosures. The G.652D fibre type delivers standard single-mode performance across common telecom wavelengths and tolerates moderate bending when installed correctly.
Route the 3 mm patchcord between devices or patch panel ports ensuring gentle bends and avoiding tight loops below the specified 30 mm radius. Remove dust caps from LC/UPC connectors immediately before insertion and use a dust-free environment or cleaning tools if required. Insert the LC connectors into matching LC receptacles until they click, and verify optical link integrity with appropriate test equipment. For removal, depress the connector latch and pull straight out to avoid stressing the fibre.
For reliable low-loss performance, keep connector endfaces clean, avoid exceeding the minimum bend radius, and secure the patchcord to prevent movement that could stress the connectors. Use this patchcord for short interconnects and indoor FTTH terminations; for external or harsh environments choose a cable with appropriate outdoor or armoured specifications.
