Patchcord Extralink SC/APC–SC/APC Singlemode G.657A 3mm Simplex 3 m
Extralink SC/APC–SC/APC Singlemode G.657A 3mm Simplex 3 m is a singlemode fiber optic patchcord with SC/APC connectors on both ends and a 3.0 mm FTTH jacket. The cable uses bend‑insensitive G.657.A fiber and an angled physical contact (APC) polish to minimize back reflections and support low-loss, high-quality connections for optical links, equipment patching and FTTH terminations over a 3 metre length.
The patchcord combines SC/APC connector geometry with a G.657.A bend‑insensitive fiber core and a 3 mm outer jacket to deliver stable signal transmission and easy handling in confined installations. Angled polish reduces return loss while the simplex design simplifies point‑to‑point connections. The 3 m length provides flexibility for rack and cabinet installations without excess slack, and standardized SC/APC terminations ensure compatibility with common optical equipment.
Verify cleanliness of both SC/APC connector endfaces before mating and use a fiber inspection tool or lint‑free wipe with appropriate solvent if necessary. Align each SC/APC connector into the corresponding adapter or equipment port until it clicks to ensure a secure mechanical connection. Avoid tight bends near the connector and maintain a bend radius consistent with G.657.A specifications to preserve optical performance. When disconnecting, pull the connector body straight out without twisting.
Store the patchcord coiled loosely and protected from dust and mechanical stress. Use dust caps when the cable is not connected, route the cable to avoid sharp bends and secure it inside cabinets or along trays to prevent strain on connectors. For testing or measurements, allow connectors to acclimate to equipment temperature for best repeatability.
