Extralink fiber optic patchcord SC/APC – SC/UPC, singlemode G.657.A2, FTTH round drop, simplex, 10 m, black is a 10-metre singlemode connection cable designed for fiber-to-the-home and indoor/outdoor drop installations. The patchcord uses bend-insensitive G.657.A2 fiber in a round drop sheath with a 3 mm outer diameter and is fitted with an SC/APC connector on one end and an SC/UPC connector on the other. It is intended for connecting optical equipment such as switches, media converters, OLTs and ONUs/ONTs and for patching inside terminal boxes and distribution panels.

Advantages

The cable’s G.657.A2 bend-insensitive fiber reduces signal loss when routed through tight bends and confined spaces, improving installation flexibility in FTTH drop runs and equipment racks. A simplex round drop design and a durable nylon/PVC jacket provide mechanical protection and resistance to handling, while having a single connector type per end simplifies mating with standard SC ports. The mixed connector polish types (APC and UPC) enable compatible connections between devices that require angled-polish return loss control on one side and flat-polish termination on the other.
