Rack blanking panel Extralink Front Blank Panel 1U 19" Gray, steel housing
Extralink Front Blank Panel 1U 19" Gray is a steel front panel designed to occupy unused rack units in 19-inch server racks and network cabinets. The panel has a grey finish and a flat design that blends with standard rack equipment, providing a simple solution for filling empty spaces while helping to control airflow and reduce dust accumulation inside the cabinet.
The steel construction ensures durability and mechanical stability when mounted in a standard 1U rack slot. By closing unused openings, the panel supports improved airflow management within the cabinet, which can contribute to more consistent cooling of active equipment. Its neutral grey finish offers a uniform appearance that maintains a tidy, professional-looking cabinet layout.
Install the panel in an available 1U space on the front of a compatible 19-inch rack or cabinet using standard rack screws. Position the panel to cover the empty unit and tighten mounting screws to secure it in place. Use multiple panels sequentially to close several adjacent empty units as needed. Removal is performed by loosening the mounting screws and sliding the panel out of the rack.
Place blanking panels in front of unused rack units to optimize airflow paths through active equipment, and combine with proper rack airflow management practices (such as blanking, baffles or directed cabling) to maintain cooling efficiency and reduce dust ingress.
