Patchcord Extralink SC/APC to LC/UPC Singlemode G.657.A1 3mm Simplex 1m
Patchcord Extralink SC/APC to LC/UPC Singlemode G.657.A1 3mm Simplex 1m
Extralink singlemode patchcord SC/APC to LC/UPC, 1 m, simplex, 3 mm cable with G.657.A1 bend‑insensitive fibre provides a compact single‑fibre link for optical equipment and FTTH connections. The cable combines a robust 3 mm outer jacket with low‑loss singlemode fibre and mixed connector ends (SC/APC on one end, LC/UPC on the other) to enable compatible connections between devices that use different terminations without additional adapters. The G.657.A1 fibre specification reduces sensitivity to tight bends commonly encountered in home and building installations, preserving optical performance in constrained routing paths.
The patchcord offers reliable singlemode transmission with low insertion loss and stable return loss values thanks to APC/UPC terminations and factory-polished endfaces. Its simplex design and 3 mm jacket ensure easy handling and installation while the bend‑insensitive G.657.A1 fibre minimizes signal degradation in tight bends and short routing runs. Mixed connector types remove the need for immediate adapters when linking SC and LC ports, simplifying patching between OLTs, ONUs, switches and media converters.
Inspect connector endfaces for cleanliness before installation and, if necessary, clean with appropriate fibre cleaning tools to prevent contamination that causes increased loss. Gently insert the SC/APC and LC/UPC connectors into the corresponding ports until they click or seat fully; do not force connectors into incompatible ports. Route the 3 mm cable along the planned path avoiding sharp bends below the minimum bend radius recommended for G.657.A1 fibre. When routing through patch panels or trays, secure the cable with clips or ties at gentle bends to prevent microbends.
For optimal performance, keep the connector dust caps on until final connection, avoid tight wraps or kinks, and use appropriate fibre cleaners and inspection scopes to verify endface quality. Store the patchcord coiled loosely and avoid extreme tensile loads during installation.
