SFP+ Transceiver Extralink EX.35955 10Gbps 850nm Multimode 300m
SFP+ Transceiver Extralink EX.35955 10Gbps 850nm Multimode 300m
Extralink EX.35955 is an SFP+ optical transceiver module designed for 10Gbps short-range links over multimode fiber. Operating at an 850nm wavelength, this compact hot-pluggable unit supports data center and enterprise networking needs by providing reliable 10G connectivity with a reach of up to 300 meters. The small form-factor and standardized SFP+ interface make it compatible with a wide range of switches, servers and optical equipment that accept SFP+ modules.
The transceiver offers a balance of high throughput and compact size, enabling dense port deployments without adding significant heat or power load. Its hot-pluggable design allows rapid installation or replacement without powering down the host device. Engineered for multimode fiber at 850nm, it delivers predictable short-range performance up to 300 meters and supports common 10GbE applications in racks and wiring closets.
Insert the SFP+ transceiver into an available SFP+ slot on the switch, server or network device until it clicks into place. Connect the duplex LC multimode fiber patch cable to the transceiver, ensuring correct TX/RX orientation. After physical installation, verify link status and speed via the host device management interface; most compatible devices will automatically negotiate 10Gbps operation. For removal, follow the device manufacturer's hot-swap procedure to avoid port damage.
Use high-quality OM3 or OM4 multimode fiber and duplex LC patch cords for the best performance and to achieve the specified 300 m reach. Ensure proper transceiver compatibility with the host device and keep firmware updated on network equipment. For optimal link stability, avoid tight bends in fiber runs, maintain clean connector end-faces, and follow ESD handling precautions during installation.
