FTTH fibre optic cable Extralink EX.3753 OM2 3 m LC–LC full duplex, red
Extralink EX.3753 OM2 3 m LC–LC full duplex is a 3‑metre multimode fibre optic patch cable designed for short-distance optical connections. The cable uses OM2 50/125 µm multimode fibre and LC connectors on both ends in a duplex configuration for simultaneous transmit and receive channels. A red outer jacket provides quick visual identification in patch panels and equipment racks, and the 3.0 mm jacket diameter offers a balance of flexibility and mechanical protection for installations in server rooms, telecom cabinets and FTTH termination points.
The cable supports full‑duplex data transmission with low insertion loss and return loss typical for LC/UPC terminations on OM2 multimode fibre. Its duplex LC–LC termination ensures easy plug‑and‑play connection to switches, media converters and optical line terminals. The 3 m length is suited for horizontal or vertical patching within racks without excess slack, and the red jacket simplifies identification and fault tracing among multiple fibre runs.
Insert each LC connector into matching LC ports on network equipment, ensuring correct orientation for transmit and receive channels. Route the cable along existing cable management paths to avoid sharp bends; maintain bend radii recommended for multimode fibre to preserve signal integrity. When installing in patch panels, secure excess cable with Velcro ties or cable managers to prevent strain on connectors. Before use in a production link, inspect connector endfaces or use a fibre inspection scope to verify cleanliness.
Keep connector endcaps on until ready to connect and clean connectors with approved fibre cleaning tools if contamination is suspected. Avoid tight bends and mechanical stress; store the patchcord coiled loosely. Use colour‑coded cables like the red jacket to simplify network documentation and faster fault isolation in complex installations.
