Patchcord Extralink LC/UPC – SC/APC Single‑Mode Duplex G.652D PVC 3mm 1m
Patchcord Extralink LC/UPC – SC/APC Single‑Mode Duplex G.652D PVC 3mm 1m
Extralink single‑mode duplex patchcord with LC/UPC to SC/APC connectors and 1 m length is designed for reliable optical interconnection in telecom, data centre and FTTH environments. The cable uses G.652D optical fibre inside a 3 mm PVC jacket and supports full‑duplex transmission. This patchcord provides a compact LC connector on one end and an SC/APC connector on the other, enabling compatibility between devices with different connector types while maintaining low insertion loss and return loss characteristics typical for single‑mode links.
The patchcord combines the compact LC/UPC interface with the robust SC/APC connector, offering straightforward mating with a variety of optical equipment. The use of G.652D single‑mode fibre ensures standardised attenuation and dispersion characteristics suitable for short‑ and long‑reach links. The 3 mm PVC jacket provides mechanical protection and flexibility for rack and wall installations while the duplex arrangement enables simultaneous transmit and receive channels for full‑duplex applications.
Route the patchcord along cable trays or within cable management channels to avoid sharp bends; maintain the minimum bend radius specified for 3 mm single‑mode fibre during installation. Insert the LC/UPC connector into the corresponding LC receptacle and the SC/APC connector into the SC/APC adapter until secure. Verify correct polarity so transmit and receive channels align with the connected devices. After connection, inspect connectors for cleanliness and, if necessary, clean end faces following standard fibre cleaning procedures to minimise insertion loss.
Store the patchcord coiled loosely and protect connector end faces with dust caps when not in use. For best optical performance, clean connectors before mating, avoid tight bends and mechanical stress, and select this patchcord for indoor FTTH, patch panel and equipment‑to‑equipment connections where LC to SC/APC interfacing is required.
