Ethernet patch cord Extralink Cat 5e UTP, 10 m, RJ-45–RJ-45, grey
Extralink Cat 5e UTP Ethernet patch cord, 10 m, with RJ-45 connectors at both ends in grey. This unshielded twisted-pair (U/UTP) copper cable meets the Cat5e standard for LAN connections and is designed for structured cabling in home and office networks. The 10 m length provides flexibility for connecting switches, routers, patch panels, computers and other network devices while maintaining reliable Ethernet data transmission. Connectors are gold-plated to ensure stable contact and corrosion resistance.
The Extralink Cat 5e UTP patch cord combines a pure copper four-pair conductor with a flexible jacket for easy routing and installation in racks and workspaces. Being Category 5e, it supports typical Ethernet speeds used in local networks and is compatible with PoE-powered devices. Gold-plated RJ-45 terminations reduce contact resistance and improve long-term signal quality. The cable's grey colour makes it suitable for visible runs where a neutral appearance is preferred.
Route the patch cord between the two devices to be connected and insert each RJ-45 plug firmly into the corresponding Ethernet port until the latch clicks. Avoid tight bends and sharp kinks along the cable run to preserve signal integrity. For installations in patch panels or racks, leave gentle slack for maintenance and label both ends if needed for easy identification.
Use this Cat 5e patch cord for standard Ethernet links up to typical Cat5e performance limits; for higher bandwidth requirements or longer permanent links consider using Cat6 or higher-rated cabling. Keep the cable away from large sources of electromagnetic interference such as mains transformers or heavy electrical machinery to maintain optimal signal quality.
