LAN patchcord Extralink Cat5e UTP 1 m, RJ-45 to RJ-45, grey
Extralink LAN patchcord Cat5e UTP, 1 m, with RJ-45 connectors at both ends is a compact unshielded twisted-pair cable designed for standard Ethernet connections. The grey 1 m cable provides a direct, flexible link between network devices such as switches, routers, patch panels, computers and VoIP phones. Constructed from four pure copper conductors in twisted-pair configuration and terminated with gold-plated RJ-45 plugs, the patchcord supports Cat5e performance and PoE-capable connections in short-distance installations.
The Extralink Cat5e UTP patchcord offers a balance of flexibility and reliable signal transmission for short links in home and office networks. Gold-plated RJ-45 contacts reduce corrosion and help maintain low contact resistance while pure copper conductors ensure consistent data transfer. Its 1 m length and pliable outer sheath make routing and patching in racks or workstations straightforward, and the unshielded design simplifies installation where shielded cabling is not required.
Insert each RJ-45 connector firmly into the network ports of the devices you want to link, ensuring the clip clicks into place. Use the 1 m Extralink Cat5e patchcord to create short links between patch panels, switches, routers, computers or VoIP phones. Avoid tight bends or kinks in the cable and do not stretch the cable beyond its length. For rack installations, route the cable alongside other patchcords without compressing connectors or strain relief boots.
For best results, use the cable for short-distance Ethernet connections within the same rack or between nearby devices. Avoid running the unshielded patchcord parallel to high-voltage power lines to minimise potential interference. Replace the cable if the outer sheath or connectors become damaged to maintain reliable network performance.
