Patchcord Extralink SC/APC–SC/APC Single Mode Duplex G.652D 3mm 5m
Extralink Patchcord SC/APC–SC/APC Single Mode Duplex G.652D 3mm 5m is a factory-terminated single-mode duplex fiber patchcord designed for reliable optical connections in FTTH, telecom and datacom environments. The cable features SC/APC connectors on both ends and a 3 mm jacket with G.652D optical fiber optimized for standard single-mode transmission. With a 5 m length and duplex configuration, this patchcord supports full-duplex links between patch panels, ONT/ONU, OLT and other optical equipment.
The SC/APC end faces provide low back reflection and stable mating performance for single-mode networks. G.652D fiber ensures compatibility with 1310 nm systems and 10 Gbps-capable links while maintaining low attenuation over typical access network distances. A 3 mm outer diameter balances flexibility and mechanical protection, and the pre-terminated duplex configuration simplifies installation and reduces on-site termination work.
Route the patchcord between the two optical ports ensuring the connectors are clean and free of dust before insertion. Align the SC/APC connectors with the adapter slots and push until they click into place; ensure the angled-polish faces mate correctly with corresponding APC adapters to maintain low back reflection. Avoid tight bends near the connector boots and secure the cable to prevent strain on the terminations. For patching in racks, keep excess length neatly coiled with a radius above the specified bending limit.
Regularly inspect and clean connector end faces with approved fiber cleaning tools before each connection. Maintain bend radius greater than 30 mm along the entire run and avoid sharp kinks. Use appropriate labeling and strain-relief in distribution panels to protect the patchcord and preserve optical performance.
