Patchcord Extralink SC/APC to LC/UPC Singlemode G.652D 3 mm simplex, 1 m
Patchcord Extralink SC/APC to LC/UPC Singlemode G.652D 3 mm simplex, 1 m
Extralink SC/APC to LC/UPC singlemode patchcord, 1 m, simplex, with G.652D fibre and 3 mm outer jacket. This fibre optic jumper combines an SC/APC connector on one end and an LC/UPC connector on the other to provide a low-loss, singlemode link between optical devices. The cable is designed for FTTH installations, patch panels, ODF frames and direct connections between active equipment where singlemode transmission and a compact LC termination are required.
The patchcord uses G.652D singlemode fibre to ensure low attenuation and stable signal transmission over typical access and distribution distances. The 3 mm jacket gives the cable adequate mechanical protection while keeping it flexible for routing in cabinets and enclosures. An SC/APC connector on one end delivers low back-reflection thanks to the angled polish, and the LC/UPC termination on the other end provides a compact footprint for high-density ports. Factory-terminated connectors reduce installation time and help maintain consistent optical performance.
Inspect connector endfaces for cleanliness and remove dust with a recommended fibre cleaning tool before insertion. Connect the SC/APC end to the corresponding APC receptacle and the LC/UPC end to the LC UPC port, ensuring correct alignment of keys and latches. Route the patchcord without sharp bends and avoid stress on connector housings; respect minimum bend radius indicated by the cable construction. For use with transceivers, power down equipment if required by the vendor before mating or demating connectors to avoid mechanical damage.
Store and handle the patchcord in a clean, dry environment. Regularly inspect and clean connectors to maintain low insertion loss and return loss performance. Use properly labelled patch panels and cable management to prevent excessive bending and connector strain.
