The Extralink Patchcord LC/UPC-LC/UPC 2m Single Mode Duplex 9/125um 3mm is a single-mode fiber optic duplex cable intended for FTTH and general network interconnection. With a 9/125 µm core/cladding ratio and a 3 mm outer jacket, this 2 m patchcord provides a compact, low-loss link using LC/UPC connectors at both ends. It is designed for connecting optical equipment such as switches, media converters, OLTs and ONUs in data, telecom and access networks where a reliable single-mode connection is required.
The LC/UPC terminations deliver consistent low back reflection and stable performance for single-mode transmission. The 3 mm jacket balances flexibility and mechanical protection for routing in racks, patch panels and FTTH installations. Duplex LC connectors allow clear A/B channel separation and compact port density, while the standardized 9/125 µm fiber ensures compatibility with single-mode optical systems and equipment.
Inspect connector end faces before installation to ensure cleanliness and avoid signal degradation. Align each LC connector with the corresponding LC port on network devices and insert until it clicks into place, observing the duplex orientation for transmit and receive channels. Route the cable without sharp bends and secure it in cable management fixtures or patch panels. For removal, press the LC latch and gently withdraw the connector from the port.
Use a fiber inspection scope and appropriate cleaning tools to keep LC/UPC end faces free of dust and contamination. Avoid tight bends below the cable's minimum bend radius and protect connectors with dust caps when not in use.
