Extralink CAT6 UTP V2 Patchpanel 24 port Black 1U Rack
The Extralink CAT6 UTP V2 Patchpanel 24 port Black 1U Rack is a 24‑port unshielded patch panel designed for Cat6 structured cabling in a standard 19" 1U rack. It provides a centralized termination point for horizontal cabling runs and organizes RJ45 connections to active equipment using standard patch cords. The panel is finished in black and fits a single rack unit, offering a compact solution for wiring closets and distribution cabinets.
The patch panel simplifies cable management by consolidating multiple Cat6 cable terminations into a single, accessible panel. Using U/UTP Cat6 ports, it preserves the performance of category‑rated cables when paired with matching patch cords and properly punched down terminations. Installation uses standard 19" mounting screws and common punch down tools, enabling straightforward integration with existing rack equipment.
Mount the patch panel into a 19" rack using standard 1U mounting screws. Terminate each horizontal Cat6 cable pair onto the corresponding IDC/punch‑down adapter on the rear of the panel using a punch down tool, following the T568A or T568B wiring scheme consistently across the installation. After termination, connect active network devices to the front RJ45 ports with Cat6 patch cords to maintain category performance.
Ensure consistent wiring standard (T568A or T568B) and use Cat6 patch cords between the patch panel and active devices. Maintain proper bend radius for cables and label ports for easier management. Verify terminations with a cable tester to confirm connectivity and performance before placing the network into service.
