FF STR-3D Roller Shutter Controller for AC Motors, Model STR-3D
FF STR-3D Roller Shutter Controller for AC Motors, Model STR-3D
FF STR-3D Roller Shutter Controller for AC Motors, Model STR-3D is a compact control unit designed to operate roller shutters and blinds driven by alternating-current motors. The controller provides reliable up/down motor commands, centralised control for single or multiple shutters, and options for timed or manual operation. It is intended for integration into residential and commercial motorised window covering systems that use AC motors.
The STR-3D offers straightforward control logic for AC-driven shutters with stable relay outputs for direction and stop commands. Its compact design facilitates installation inside distribution boxes or mounting cabinets and it supports timed operation for scheduled opening and closing. The device is optimised to work with standard AC tubular and tubular-type motors and provides a clear interface for wiring and manual inputs.
This controller is intended specifically for alternating-current motor applications; it is not appropriate for DC motor-driven systems. Systems requiring advanced smart-home integration protocols beyond basic wired or relay interfacing may need an additional gateway or a different controller designed for networked automation. Very high-power industrial motors outside the typical tubular motor class may exceed the controller's intended load capabilities.
Install the STR-3D into an appropriate distribution box and connect the mains supply and motor wires according to the wiring diagram provided by the manufacturer. Use the dedicated UP and DOWN relay outputs to control motor direction and the STOP function to interrupt movement when needed. Configure any built-in timers or scheduling functions per installation requirements. After wiring, verify correct motor rotation and adjust the end-stop settings at the motor if necessary. Ensure power is disconnected during installation and commissioning.
For reliable operation, pair the STR-3D with AC tubular motors that match the controller’s switching capacity and follow the manufacturer wiring diagram. Use proper overcurrent protection and earth connection, perform commissioning tests to confirm motor direction and limit settings, and implement scheduled operation only after verifying correct manual control behaviour.
