Modeling clay Staedtler FIMO 8010 Galaxy Turquoise 57 g
FIMO 8010 Galaxy Turquoise is a 57 g block of modeling clay designed for adults and hobbyists. This polymer clay offers a striking turquoise shade with subtle pearlescent effects typical of the Galaxy finish. The material is soft to condition, holds fine detail well and can be hardened in a household oven to create durable finished pieces for jewelry, miniatures, decorative accents and small sculptures.
The Galaxy Turquoise formulation combines good plasticity with an iridescent surface that enhances texture and depth without additional coatings. It is easy to blend with other FIMO colors, maintains surface detail after conditioning and cures to a strong, non-porous finish. The clay is suitable for hand-shaping, extruding and using with basic sculpting tools and cutters.
Condition the clay by kneading until it becomes uniformly soft and flexible. Shape the clay using hands, blades, cutters or sculpting tools as required by your project. For layered or mixed-color effects, combine pieces and re-condition to achieve a seamless blend. Place finished items on a baking-safe surface and follow recommended oven temperature and time guidelines for polymer clays to cure the piece evenly. Allow the item to cool completely before sanding, drilling or applying any varnish or additional finishes.
Work on a clean, non-porous surface and keep raw clay away from direct sunlight and high humidity. Use a dedicated oven thermometer to verify temperature and prevent overheating. After curing, smooth edges with fine sandpaper and, if desired, seal with an appropriate varnish for increased surface durability. Avoid using a kitchen oven for food after polymer clay baking unless the oven is cleaned thoroughly to remove residues.
