Modeling clay FIMO soft by Staedtler, Grey, 56 g, bakeable at 110 °C
FIMO soft modeling clay by Staedtler is a 56 g grey polymer clay formulated for hand shaping and small-scale modelling. The soft, smooth consistency makes it easy to knead, shape and blend by hand or with simple tools. This oven‑hardening clay cures in a domestic oven at 110 °C, producing a durable, slightly flexible finish suitable for jewellery, miniatures and decorative details. The block is compactly packaged (approximately 55×55×15 mm) and is divided into eight practical portions to simplify measuring and mixing.
The soft texture provides consistent pliability that reduces hand fatigue during extended modelling sessions. It blends cleanly with adjacent colours and holds fine details while remaining workable until baked. Curing at a relatively low temperature (110 °C) allows use with standard home ovens. The compact, portioned block minimises waste and makes it convenient for both single projects and repeated small crafts.
Knead the clay briefly to reach uniform softness, then shape by hand or with modelling tools. For clean blending, press and roll the surfaces together or use a thin sheet to laminate colours. Place model on a baking tray and bake in a preheated oven at 110 °C for the time recommended by the manufacturer for the object’s thickness (follow any printed instructions on the packaging). Allow the piece to cool completely before sanding, drilling or applying finishes.
Work on a clean, non‑stick surface such as glass or a silicone mat to prevent contamination. Use dedicated tools and avoid food preparation areas while baking. For stronger results on thicker pieces, increase bake time gradually while monitoring to avoid overheating. Seal finished items with compatible varnish if additional surface protection or gloss is required.
