Modeling clay FIMO professional 57 g light green (8040-51)
FIMO professional modelling clay, 57 g in light green, is a professional-grade polymer clay formulated for detailed shaping, sculpting and small-scale jewellery making. The soft yet firm consistency makes it easy to condition by hand or with a pasta machine, and it holds fine details well. After baking in a home oven, the clay cures to a solid, durable finish with consistent colour and smooth texture, suitable for painted surfaces or additional finishes.
This light green FIMO professional clay offers a balanced working time and firmness that supports both hand modelling and use with tools for intricate details. It conditions smoothly without becoming greasy, retains sharp edges and textures, and cures to a stable, non-brittle result. The consistent pigmentation ensures predictable colour across batches and good compatibility with adhesives, varnishes and metal findings used in jewellery applications.
Condition the clay by kneading it by hand or passing it through a clay conditioning machine until it is soft and even in colour. Shape and model the piece using hand tools, blades or texture tools as needed. Place items on a baking tray lined with baking paper and cure in a domestic oven according to the manufacturer's recommended temperature and time for professional polymer clay (follow instructions provided with the product packaging). Allow pieces to cool fully before handling; additional sanding, painting or varnishing can be done after curing.
Work in a well-ventilated area and avoid direct contact between uncured clay and food surfaces. Use separate tools and trays for polymer clay to prevent contamination. When joining parts, use compatible adhesives or blend seams before curing for best results. Store unused clay in an airtight container away from direct sunlight to preserve consistency and colour.
