Fischer 512213 Grey is a neutral-cure silicone sealant formulated for sealing and bonding a wide range of common building materials. Supplied in a 310 ml cartridge, this grey silicone adheres to ceramic, concrete, glass, metal, PVC and treated wood. It cures to form a flexible, weather-resistant bead with an open (working) time of approximately 15 minutes and an operating temperature range from -40 °C to 150 °C, allowing use in both cold and hot environments.

How to use

Ensure surfaces are clean, dry and free from dust, grease and loose particles. Cut the cartridge tip to the desired bead size and puncture the inner seal, then place the cartridge into a standard caulking gun. Apply a continuous bead of silicone along the joint, maintaining steady pressure for even extrusion. Tool the bead within the open time to achieve a smooth finish and good contact with both surfaces. Allow the sealant to cure undisturbed; full cure time depends on bead size and environmental conditions.

Usage recommendations

For best results, use at ambient temperatures above 5 °C and avoid applying in heavy rain or on frost-covered surfaces. When sealing non-porous surfaces such as glass or painted metal, test adhesion in a small inconspicuous area if uncertain. Clean excess uncured silicone with a suitable solvent; once cured, removal requires mechanical methods. Store cartridges upright in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight.
