How to use

Position the fork tines at the edge of the area to be cultivated and push the tines into the soil using your foot if necessary. Use a rocking or levering motion to loosen and lift compacted soil, then move across the bed in overlapping passes to create an even, aerated surface. For mixing compost or amendments, insert the tines and lift and turn the soil until materials are evenly distributed. After use, clean off soil and debris and hang the tool by its hole for storage.

Usage recommendations

Use the Fiskars Garden Fork on moist but not waterlogged soil for best penetration and to avoid excessive strain on the tines. Avoid using the tool to pry out very large stones or roots to prevent damage; remove such obstructions by hand or with suitable tools.
