Shovel/trowel Flo 35808 — PVC handle, steel blade, 1 pc
Flo 35808 is a hand shovel/trowel with a PVC handle and a steel blade supplied as a single piece. Designed for light digging, planting and small soil tasks in gardens and yards, the tool combines a steel working part for basic durability with a textured PVC grip to improve handling during repetitive use.
The steel blade provides reliable edge strength for cutting through soft to medium soil, while the PVC handle delivers slip resistance and a comfortable hold. The compact, single-piece construction reduces the number of joints and potential failure points. Its moderate working width and length make it suitable for confined planting spaces and detail work where larger spades would be impractical.
Hold the tool by the PVC handle with a firm but relaxed grip and position the steel blade at the target spot. Apply steady downward pressure while levering or twisting the blade to penetrate soil. For planting, dig a hole of appropriate depth, place the plant or bulb, then backfill and press the soil gently. After use, remove soil from the blade and wipe the handle clean. Store the tool in a dry place to limit corrosion of the steel blade.
Use the shovel/trowel for small-scale gardening tasks and avoid levering against hard surfaces like concrete or compacted subsoil to prevent blade deformation. Regularly clean and, if needed, dry the blade after use; a light coat of oil can be applied to the steel to reduce surface rust during prolonged storage.
