Galmet Vulcan SGW(S) standing storage water heater with a built-in spiral coil and 100 L capacity is designed for domestic hot water storage and heat exchange. The unit provides buffer volume for DHW systems and allows heat transfer from external heat sources such as boilers or solar thermal circuits via the internal spiral heat exchanger. The vertical design fits residential plant rooms and utility spaces where combined storage and indirect heating are required.
The integrated spiral coil enables efficient heat transfer between the boiler or solar loop and the potable water without direct mixing of heat sources. The 100 L capacity offers sufficient buffer for typical household hot water demands while reducing short-cycling of external heat generators. Install the Galmet Vulcan SGW(S) vertically on a level surface with appropriate support and room for service access. Commission the system by filling the tank, venting air from the coil and DHW circuits, setting required temperatures on the heat source, and checking for leaks. Regularly inspect safety valves and insulation integrity as part of routine maintenance.
Ensure compatibility between the spiral coil circuit and the heat source by verifying operating pressures and temperatures. Fit appropriate safety devices such as pressure relief valves, non-return valves and anodes if specified by the installer to protect against corrosion and overpressure. For solar integration, include a controller and pump station to manage charging of the tank and prevent stagnation in the solar loop.
