Vertical domestic hot water (DHW) heat exchanger Galmet MAKS 200 L (DWZ) is a tank-type exchanger with an internal spiral coil designed to provide sanitary hot water. The unit stores approximately 200 litres of potable water and transfers heat from an external heating source through the integrated spiral heat exchanger. The vertical configuration and insulated outer shell are engineered to optimise heat retention while allowing connection to boilers, heat pumps or other hot water sources.
The spiral coil design ensures effective heat transfer between the primary heating circuit and the potable water stored in the tank, reducing temperature stratification and enabling consistent delivery of domestic hot water. The vertical layout minimises floor footprint and facilitates installation in mechanical rooms or utility closets. Install the Galmet MAKS 200 L (DWZ) in a dry, ventilated space on a level surface, ensuring adequate access for pipe connections and service. Connect the spiral coil to the primary heating source (boiler, heat pump or solar loop) following hydraulic and safety regulations. Connect potable water supply and hot water distribution lines to the designated tank ports. Commission the system by filling and venting both the primary and domestic circuits, then run the heating source until the tank reaches the desired temperature. Follow local codes for pressure relief, expansion protection and water quality treatment.
