Garden Fun wooden bat house Budka dla nietoperzy 30×12.5×43 cm
Wooden bat house Garden Fun Budka dla nietoperzy 30×12.5×43 cm is a compact vertical roosting box designed to provide daytime shelter for small bat species in gardens, parks and other outdoor spaces. Made from natural wood, the house creates a narrow cavity that mimics crevice-like roosts used by many bats. The unit can be mounted on walls, posts or mature trees and contributes to local insect control and biodiversity by offering a secure site for bats to rest and raise young.
The wooden construction provides natural thermal properties and breathability that help regulate internal humidity and temperature. Its compact vertical profile and narrow chamber suit crevice-roosting bat species and occupy little visual space on mounting surfaces. The product is suitable for outdoor use when placed in a sheltered, elevated position and supports passive wildlife management without the need for electricity or ongoing mechanical maintenance.
Select a location at least 3–4 metres above the ground that receives morning sun and is sheltered from prevailing strong winds. Fix the bat house securely to a flat wall, wooden post or tree trunk using appropriate exterior fasteners; ensure the box is level and the entrance faces a clear flight path. Leave the surrounding area free of bright artificial lighting and minimise disturbance. Inspect the mounting once or twice a year for stability and wear, avoiding disturbance of occupants during the breeding season.
Place the bat house where it can warm up early in the day (east- or southeast-facing) and keep the entrance unobstructed. Do not seal the box; natural ventilation helps maintain suitable microclimate. If painting or treating the exterior, use water-based, wildlife-safe products and avoid chemicals that could affect bats.
