The GARDENA Irrigation Valve 9 V Bluetooth is a battery-powered 1" irrigation valve with an integrated Bluetooth control unit, designed to automate watering for garden irrigation systems without a mains connection. The valve connects to the free GARDENA Bluetooth App (iOS and Android) and can be positioned flexibly within a 10-metre range of the controlling smartphone or tablet. It supports up to six programmable watering schedules, offers manual start/stop via a visible control button, and includes status LEDs for Bluetooth connection, battery level and irrigation status. A separately available soil moisture sensor can be connected for demand-based, water-saving irrigation. The valve has a flow-optimised design to minimise pressure loss and features a 1" female thread for straightforward installation into a pipe system or inside a compatible valve box. The unit is powered by a 9 V alkaline battery, providing reliable wireless operation for at least one gardening season.

How to use

Install the valve by connecting it to the irrigation piping or by mounting it inside a compatible valve box using the 1" female thread. Insert a 9 V alkaline battery to power the control unit. Download and open the free GARDENA Bluetooth App on a compatible smartphone or tablet, then follow the app’s pairing and setup instructions. Use the Scheduling Assistant in the app to create up to six watering schedules, specifying start times, durations and days of the week; enable a rain break if needed. Start or stop irrigation manually using the control button on the unit or via the app. If required, connect the separately available Soil Moisture Sensor through the app to allow irrigation only when the soil is below the configured moisture threshold.

Usage recommendations

To maximise battery life and water efficiency, place the valve within the app’s recommended Bluetooth range, use the Scheduling Assistant to tailor watering times, and connect the GARDENA Soil Moisture Sensor if available. Check the status LEDs regularly for battery and connection information and replace the 9 V alkaline battery at the start of each gardening season or when indicated by the app or LEDs.
