Valve Gardena 1286-20
The GARDENA Valve Gardena 1286-20 starter set contains three wireless 9 V irrigation valves and a Valve Box V3 for convenient installation. Each valve has a 1" female thread, a manual control lever and is battery powered. The valves are designed to be controlled via the GARDENA Bluetooth App from a smartphone or tablet and can be used together with the separately available Soil Moisture Sensor. The set is intended for reliable automatic watering of garden areas and supports up to six programmable schedules per valve.
The three included valves allow independent control of multiple irrigation zones without running control cables. Bluetooth control provides wireless programming and status feedback up to 10 m from the device. Each valve supports six different watering programs with settings for start time, duration and days of the week, and features status LEDs for Bluetooth connection, battery level and active watering. Battery operation (9 V alkaline, not included) offers about one year of runtime under typical conditions. The Valve Box V3 simplifies installation and protects the valves in the ground.
Install each 1" valve into the Valve Box V3 and connect to the irrigation piping according to local plumbing practice. Insert a 9 V alkaline battery into each valve and verify the status LED. Download and open the free GARDENA Bluetooth App on a compatible smartphone or tablet (minimum iOS 12.x or Android 5.0 with Bluetooth Low Energy 4.0). Follow the in-app pairing steps to connect each valve, then create or edit watering schedules by setting start time, duration and days of the week. Use the ‘Water Now’ function in the app or the manual control lever on the valve to start watering immediately. If using the GARDENA Soil Moisture Sensor, pair and configure it in the app to prevent unnecessary irrigation when soil moisture is sufficient.
Use high-quality 9 V alkaline batteries and check battery status regularly via the app. Keep the Valve Box V3 accessible for maintenance and protect connections from freezing. For best results, test the system zones after installation and adjust schedule durations based on observed water distribution and plant needs.
