The GARDENA Water Pump 1766-20 is a rainwater tank pump with a 550 W motor and a two-stage hydraulic system that delivers up to 4700 l/h at a maximum pressure of 2.3 bar. Designed for garden use and continuous immersion (IPX8), the pump features a stainless steel body and connection thread, an adjustable aluminium telescopic pipe (760–960 mm) and an integrated fine mesh filter. It includes automatic start/stop with leakage detection, dry-running protection and a low-volume program for drip irrigation, and is compatible with standard garden sprinklers such as the AquaZoom.

How to use

Install the telescopic pipe and adjust its length so the outlet reaches over the edge of the rain barrel (760–960 mm). Submerge the pump and connect the power cable to a suitable outdoor outlet. The automatic function starts the pump when water is drawn and stops it after flow ceases. Use the regulating valve to control or shut off flow. For drip irrigation, select the small quantity program. Clean the integrated fine mesh filter regularly to prevent blockages. If required, connect the pump to compatible sprinklers such as the AquaZoom.

Usage recommendations

Regularly inspect and clean the fine mesh filter and check seals and connections for wear. Avoid running the pump dry; rely on the built-in dry-run and leakage detection features but do not ignore signs of reduced performance.
