The GARDENA Small Caster allows even spreading of winter materials such as sand, salt and grit over smaller areas without touching the material with your hands. The device uses a unique dosage system: turn the dosage disc on the cover to select the spread opening from coarse to fine according to the material. The bayonet lock enables quick opening and closing for filling, and the grip part can be used as a small shovel. Two side grip recesses ensure a secure hold. Filling quantities: sand approx. 1.7 kg, salt approx. 1.4 kg, grit approx. 1.65 kg. 25 year warranty.

How to use

Open the bayonet lock and fill the container using the grip part as a small shovel. Close the cover and set the dosage disc to the desired opening size based on the spreading material (coarse for larger granules, fine for smaller grains). Hold the spreader by the grip recesses and walk along the area to be treated, turning the adjustment knob if a different spread rate is needed. After use, empty remaining material and store the spreader in a dry place.

Usage recommendations

For best results choose the dosage setting according to the material: use a coarser opening for grit and coarse sand, and a finer opening for salt. Wear appropriate footwear on slippery surfaces and refill on stable ground to avoid spills. Rinse the spreader after contact with salt to prolong the product life.
