Garden Fork Gardena 17013-20
The GARDENA ErgoLine Spading Fork (model 17013-20) is designed for digging, lifting and loosening soil in planted areas while minimising damage to roots. It combines hardened steel tines with an ergonomically shaped oval shaft and an extra-wide D handle with extended plastic coating to provide non-slip, comfortable handling. The tool is intended for routine garden work and comes with a 25-year warranty.
The oval shaft profile prevents the handle from turning unintentionally and promotes an ergonomic working posture. The extended plastic coating creates a continuous, non-slip grip surface without sharp transitions. The extra-wide D handle allows two-handed use at any grip point for greater control and force. Hardened quality steel tines provide robust penetration and durability for repeated soil work.
Position the spading fork with the tines facing the soil and push down using the D handle. Use two hands on the wide D handle when extra leverage is required. Rock the fork back and forth or lever it to lift soil or plants gently, taking care not to pull harshly on root systems. After use, clean soil from the tines and store the tool in a dry place to protect the steel and handle.
Use the fork on moist but not waterlogged soil for easiest penetration. Avoid levering against very large roots or stones to prevent damage to the tines; use a digging spade or saw for such obstacles.
