Carburetor GEKO for Stihl MS170 MS180 (replacement for chainsaw models)
Replacement carburetor GEKO compatible with Stihl MS170 and MS180 chainsaw models. This carburetor is designed to restore the correct fuel-air mixture delivery to the engine, improving cold start, idling stability and cutting performance. It serves as a direct spare part option for routine maintenance and repair of small petrol chainsaws, helping reduce downtime and maintain consistent engine operation when the original carburetor is worn or malfunctioning.
The GEKO carburetor offers reliable fuel metering and a construction intended for straightforward swap-in replacement on compatible chainsaw models. Its calibrated passages and adjustment screws allow fine-tuning of idle speed and mixture to match local fuel quality and operating conditions. The unit is manufactured from corrosion-resistant materials to withstand exposure to fuel and regular outdoor use, and its compact design preserves original fitment, hose and throttle linkage alignment.
Before installation, disconnect the spark plug and drain fuel from the chainsaw tank and carburetor lines. Remove the air filter cover and old carburetor by disconnecting throttle linkage, fuel lines and mounting bolts. Fit the GEKO carburetor into the original position, reconnect fuel lines and throttle linkage, and secure mounting bolts to the manufacturer’s recommended torque. Reinstall the air filter and cover, refill the fuel tank with the correct fuel-oil mixture, reconnect the spark plug, and start the engine. Allow the engine to warm up and then adjust the idle and mixture screws following the chainsaw manufacturer’s tuning procedure to achieve smooth idle and responsive throttle response.
Use the GEKO carburetor with fresh, correctly mixed two-stroke fuel and a clean air filter. Perform initial tuning in a safe, well-ventilated area and make only small adjustments to mixture screws, checking engine response after each change. Inspect hoses and gaskets for wear when replacing the carburetor and replace any damaged parts to prevent leaks or performance issues.
