Docking station GEMBIRD A-CM-COMBO6-02 — wired USB 3.2 Gen 1 Type-C, HDMI, 1x USB-A, 2x USB 2.0, SD/MicroSD (≤128 GB), grey
The GEMBIRD A-CM-COMBO6-02 is a compact wired USB Type-C docking station that expands a laptop or compatible device with additional ports. Using USB 3.2 Gen 1 connectivity over a fixed Type-C cable, it provides a single HDMI output for external displays, one USB 3.2 Gen 1 Type-A port for high-speed peripherals, two USB 2.0 ports for legacy devices, and integrated SD and MicroSD card readers that accept cards up to 128 GB. The enclosure is grey and the unit has a small footprint with dimensions approximately 28 × 114 × 10 mm and a short 0.12 m cable for close-range connection to a host device.
The docking station offers a straightforward way to add essential ports without external power, using the host’s USB-C connection. Its HDMI output enables connection to an external monitor or TV while the USB 3.2 Gen 1 Type-A port supports faster data transfer for compatible storage and peripherals. Two USB 2.0 ports provide compatibility with keyboards, mice and other low-bandwidth accessories. Built-in SD and MicroSD card readers allow quick access to camera cards and portable storage up to 128 GB. The compact grey design makes it easy to carry and position on a desk without taking much space.
Plug the docking station’s Type-C cable into a compatible USB-C port on your laptop or device that supports USB 3.2 Gen 1. Connect an external display to the HDMI port and attach USB peripherals to the available Type-A ports. Insert an SD or MicroSD card into the corresponding reader slot for file access. The device is bus-powered and does not require a separate power supply; operating system prompts or driver installation may appear depending on the host system and its configuration.
Use a host port that supports USB 3.2 Gen 1 for optimal data throughput on the USB 3.2 Type-A port and ensure the host’s USB-C port provides display output if HDMI output is required. For reliable card access, use SD and MicroSD cards with capacities up to 128 GB and avoid forcing cards into slots. Keep the short cable free of sharp bends to maintain connection integrity.
