Networking cable Gembird Cat5e UTP patch cord 1.5 m, RJ-45 — Yellow
The Gembird Cat5e UTP patch cord 1.5 m with RJ-45 connectors is a standard unshielded twisted-pair cable designed for Ethernet networking. With a 1.5-metre length and yellow outer jacket, this patch cord provides a visible, compact connection between switches, routers, patch panels and other network devices in offices, data cabinets and home networks.
This Cat5e UTP cable supports reliable 100 Mbps and gigabit-capable connections within typical horizontal cabling distances and is constructed with 8P8C RJ-45 plugs featuring 50 μ" gold-plated contacts for consistent signal transfer. Molded strain reliefs at both ends help protect the conductor terminations from bending and wear, while the yellow jacket enables quick identification in structured cabling environments.
Insert each RJ-45 connector into the corresponding Ethernet port until the latch clicks to secure the connection. Use the 1.5 m length to bridge short distances between network equipment such as switches, routers, patch panels and endpoint devices. Ensure connectors are fully seated and avoid sharp bends near the ends to preserve contact integrity; the molded strain reliefs reduce stress but proper cable routing further prolongs service life.
For best performance, avoid running the UTP cable in parallel with high-voltage power lines and keep bend radius gentle. Test links after installation with appropriate network testers to verify continuity and pairing. Use the yellow jacket to mark specific circuit groups in patch bays or cabinets for easier maintenance.
