Networking cable Gembird PP6A-LSZHCU-50M RJ-45 Cat6a 50m Grey
The Gembird PP6A-LSZHCU-50M RJ-45 Cat6a 50m Grey is a 50-metre patch cable engineered for high-speed and reliable Ethernet connections. This Cat6a cable uses S/FTP construction with foil-shielded pairs and an overall braided shield to minimise electromagnetic interference and crosstalk. It features gold-plated RJ-45 contacts, molded strain reliefs and snagless boots for secure plugging and extended connector life. The jacket is Low Smoke Zero Halogen (LSZH), reducing toxic and corrosive gas emission in case of fire and making the cable suitable for indoor installations where low smoke materials are required.
The S/FTP shielding and braided outer shield provide improved signal integrity and lower interference compared with unshielded cables, supporting stable high-bandwidth transmissions. Gold-plated RJ-45 contacts ensure consistent contact quality and resistance to corrosion. Molded strain reliefs and snagless boots reduce mechanical stress on the connector and prevent accidental tab damage during installation. The LSZH jacket lowers smoke and halogen output for safer indoor deployment.
Measure the required run and route the cable avoiding tight bends and sources of strong electromagnetic interference such as heavy machinery or unshielded power lines. Terminate the cable by inserting each RJ-45 plug into the corresponding port on switches, routers, patch panels or network devices until the latch clicks. Use the molded strain reliefs to guide cable movement and avoid pulling on the connector itself. For permanent installations, secure the cable with suitable clips or cable management systems without compressing the jacket.
For optimal performance at Cat6a levels, keep horizontal runs within recommended distance limits for 10 Gbps transmissions, maintain proper grounding of shielded systems where required, and avoid bundling large numbers of cables together without separation. Store the reel without tight loops and protect connectors from dust when not connected.
