Network cable GEMBIRD Cat6a S/FTP (S-STP) RJ-45 to RJ-45 5 m Blue
GEMBIRD Cat6a S/FTP (S-STP) RJ-45 to RJ-45 network cable, 5 m in blue, is built for high-speed LAN and 10 Gigabit Ethernet connections. The cable features individually foil-shielded pairs combined with an overall braided shield to minimize electromagnetic interference and crosstalk. Gold-plated contacts and molded strain reliefs ensure reliable connector performance and long-term contact quality, while the Low Smoke Zero Halogen (LSZH) jacket reduces harmful emissions in confined spaces.
The S/FTP construction delivers strong noise rejection and improved signal integrity for demanding network environments. Gold-plated RJ-45 contacts offer corrosion resistance and stable electrical contact. The LSZH jacket provides a safer material choice for indoor installations where reduced smoke and toxic gas emissions are required. Molded strain reliefs and snagless boots protect the connector and cable termination from mechanical stress and accidental snags.
Connect one RJ-45 end to a network switch, router, patch panel or network device and the other RJ-45 end to a computer, server or another network device. Ensure connectors are fully inserted until the latch clicks to establish a secure physical connection. Route the cable avoiding tight bends, sharp edges and high-power electrical cables to preserve shielding effectiveness and maintain consistent signal performance.
For optimal performance, use the cable for short to medium patch runs up to 5 m within rack cabinets, between wall outlets and network devices, or across desktop setups. Keep the cable away from strong electromagnetic sources and avoid exceeding recommended bend radii. When installing in multi-cable bundles, maintain separation from unshielded power lines to reduce interference.
