Keystone module GOOBAY 15217 flat metallic RJ-45 connector
Keystone module GOOBAY 15217 flat metallic RJ-45 connector
GOOBAY 15217 keystone module is a flat metallic RJ-45 connector designed as a keystone insert for faceplates and patch panels. It provides a standard RJ-45 female coupling to extend or join two Ethernet cables, supporting a straight 1:1 assignment for Cat6 wiring and a rated frequency of up to 250 MHz. The module features a real metal housing and a PCB-mounted Cat6 jack to ensure mechanical stability and reliable signal transmission in structured cabling environments for offices, server rooms and residential installations.
The metallic housing offers improved shielding and mechanical durability compared with metallised plastic alternatives. A PCB-mounted Cat6 jack maintains consistent contact geometry for stable data transfer. Flat keystone form factor allows low-profile installation in standard keystone-compatible faceplates and patch panels. The coupler supports PoE+ according to IEEE 802.3at, enabling power delivery over the connected Ethernet link when used with compatible equipment.
Insert the GOOBAY 15217 keystone module into a compatible keystone opening in a faceplate or patch panel until it snaps into place. Connect RJ-45 terminated cables into each side of the female coupler to extend or join network runs. Ensure cable terminations follow Cat6 1:1 wiring standards for expected performance. When used in PoE applications, verify connected devices and power-sourcing equipment meet IEEE 802.3at requirements.
For best results, use with properly terminated Cat6 cables and avoid excessive bending at the connector. Install the module in keystone-compatible mounting panels to maintain secure mechanical support and shielding. Ensure network equipment and cabling are rated for PoE+ before applying power over the link.
