GOOBAY CAT 5e patch cable F/UTP, yellow, 20 m, RJ-45 to RJ-45, 1000 Mbit/s
GOOBAY CAT 5e patch cable F/UTP, yellow, 20 m, RJ-45 to RJ-45, 1000 Mbit/s is a shielded straight-through Ethernet cable designed for structured cabling and device interconnection. The 20 m length and slimline overmoulded strain relief make it suitable for connecting switches, routers, patch panels and network devices across home and office environments. The F/UTP (foil-shielded) construction reduces external interference while copper-clad conductors and plated contacts ensure consistent signal transmission up to Gigabit speeds.
The foil shielding around the twisted pairs reduces crosstalk and limits electromagnetic interference from nearby cables and equipment, improving signal integrity in crowded installations. Pre-terminated RJ-45 connectors on both ends provide immediate plug-and-play connectivity with latch protection to reduce the risk of accidental unplugging or latch breakage. The cable is colour-coded in yellow for easy identification in patch panels and trays, and the printed length on the strain relief simplifies cable management.
Insert the RJ-45 plug into the network ports of the devices to be connected until the latch clicks into place. Ensure the cable is not bent sharply and route it along cable management channels or trays to avoid mechanical stress. Use the printed length on the overmoulded strain relief to verify and document runs. For best performance, avoid placing the cable alongside high-voltage power lines or sources of strong electromagnetic interference.
Use this CAT 5e F/UTP cable for Gigabit Ethernet connections in environments where basic shielding is sufficient. For runs requiring higher signal margin, longer distances beyond recommended cabling limits, or installations with very high EMI, consider using higher-category (Cat6/Cat6a) or fully shielded cables. Regularly inspect connectors and strain reliefs for wear and replace the cable if damage is observed.
