Fibre optic audio cable GOOBAY AVK 220-500 — TOSLINK 5.0 m, black
GOOBAY AVK 220-500 is a 5.0 m TOSLINK fibre optic audio cable designed for digital audio transmission between devices equipped with optical ports. The cable features TOSLINK connectors on both ends and a black outer jacket that provides a discreet appearance and simple integration into home AV setups. It transmits audio using light signals, which eliminates electromagnetic interference and preserves digital signal integrity over the cable length.
The cable offers interference-free digital audio transmission thanks to its fibre optic design, ensuring clear signal transfer between source and playback devices. With a 5.0 m length it provides flexibility for typical living room and home theatre layouts while keeping connections neat. The standard TOSLINK connectors provide wide compatibility with TVs, soundbars, AV receivers and other consumer audio equipment that use optical audio ports.
Insert each TOSLINK connector into the optical audio port of the source device and the receiving device until it clicks or seats firmly; ensure the connectors are aligned with the port shape to avoid damage. Use the 5.0 m length to route the cable along walls or behind furniture for a tidy installation. Avoid bending the cable sharply or pinching it under heavy objects, as excessive bending can attenuate the optical signal. If devices require selection of the optical output, set the source device to use digital/optical audio output in its audio settings menu.
For reliable performance, keep connector end caps on until installation and avoid exposing the fibre ends to dust. Route the cable away from areas of mechanical stress and avoid tight loops; replace the cable if optical performance degrades or if the connector shows physical damage.
