Fibre optic cable GOOBAY InfiniBand/Fibre Optic 3 m OS2 SC–SC 9 µm
Fibre optic cable GOOBAY InfiniBand/Fibre Optic 3 m OS2 SC–SC 9 µm
GOOBAY InfiniBand/Fibre Optic 3 m OS2 SC–SC 9 µm is a 3-metre single-mode patch cable designed for FTTH and long-distance optical links. The cable uses OS2 single-mode fibre with a 9 µm core and SC–SC simplex connectors with APC polish, providing low attenuation and consistent single-mode transmission for telecom and networking equipment. Its LSZH jacket and aramid yarn reinforcement deliver safe operation and mechanical stability in private and industrial installations.
The fibre optic cable supports high data rates up to 100 Gbit/s and is optimised for a small bending radius to enable space-saving routing without significant signal loss. Reinforced strain relief with aramid yarn reduces the risk of mechanical damage during installation and use. LSZH-compliant sheath material minimises hazardous emissions in case of fire and meets common safety standards. Each cable is supplied with dust caps and an individual test protocol including insertion loss and return loss measurements for reliable verification.
Connect one SC connector to the optical port of the source device and the other SC connector to the destination device such as an ONT, switch or media converter. Ensure connectors and ports are free of dust before mating; use the supplied dust caps when the cable is not connected. Route the cable following the recommended minimum bending radius to avoid increased attenuation. Secure the cable using appropriate clips or ties, avoiding tight bends or kinks that could stress the fibre.
For best performance, install the cable in clean environments and verify connection quality using the included test protocol or an optical power meter. Maintain a static bending radius of at least 30 mm and avoid repeated flexing in the same spot. Observe LSZH safety benefits in enclosed spaces and comply with local installation rules and provider-specific FTTH requirements.
