Description

The Goobay 66628 Cat6 S/FTP Round Networking Cable with RJ-45 Connectors is a reliable solution designed for stable and high-speed data transmission in home and office environments. With a length of 1 meter, this round cable in blue and red features advanced S/FTP shielding to prevent electromagnetic interference and gold-plated connector contacts for optimal signal integrity. It is equipped with male RJ-45 connectors on both ends, making it ready for immediate use in various networking setups.

Advantages

This networking cable utilizes the Cat6 standard to support fast data transfer rates, making it suitable for modern high-speed internet requirements. The S/FTP shielding combines foil and braid layers to protect data integrity from external electrical interference. Additionally, the gold-plated contacts ensure corrosion resistance and a consistent connection quality over extended periods of use.

Suitable for

Connecting computers, routers, switches, and network printers
Home and small office local area networks
Short-distance desktop connections

When it may not be suitable

This cable is not suitable for long-distance network runs due to its 1-meter length. It may also not meet requirements for specialized industrial environments that demand heavy-duty armor or specialized waterproof ratings.

Key specifications

Cable length: 1 m
Cable standard: Cat6
Cable shielding: S/FTP (S-STP)
Cable shape: Round
Connector 1: RJ-45
Connector 2: RJ-45
Connector 1 gender: Male
Connector 2 gender: Male
Connector contacts plating: Gold
Product colour: Blue, Red

How to use

To use the networking cable, insert one male RJ-45 connector into the network port of your active device, such as a router or switch, until you hear a click. Connect the opposite male RJ-45 connector to the corresponding port on your computer or target network device. Ensure the cable is not excessively bent or pinched during routing to maintain optimal performance.

What to consider before purchase

Verify that a 1-meter length is sufficient for the distance between your devices
Confirm that your equipment utilizes standard RJ-45 Ethernet ports
Check if your network setup requires Cat6 performance specifications

Usage recommendations: Route the cable away from power lines and heavy electrical equipment to minimize potential signal interference, and avoid sharp bends to preserve the internal wiring structure.
