GOOBAY 74349 is a 5 m Cat8.1 Ethernet patch cable with U/FTP (STP) shielding and RJ-45 connectors on both ends. The cable has a slim grey TPE jacket and gold-plated contacts, designed for shielded high-frequency LAN environments where reduced crosstalk and improved interference protection are required. Its super-thin construction and extra-short connectors minimise volume in server cabinets and patch panels while maintaining compatibility with common Ethernet standards.
The extra-slim design with extra-short RJ-45 connectors reduces material volume in racks and patch panels, improving air circulation and reducing heat build-up compared with conventional cabling. The U/FTP (STP) shielding and gold-plated contacts provide reliable signal integrity and better protection against electromagnetic interference. A low-smoke, halogen-free TPE jacket and compact bend protection deliver a small bending radius and enhanced flexibility for confined installations.
Connect one RJ-45 plug to the network port on a switch, patch panel or device and the other plug to the corresponding port on the endpoint. Ensure connectors are fully inserted until they click to secure the connection. Route the cable using the compact bend protection to avoid sharp bends and maintain the small bending radius specified by the cable design. For installations in server cabinets or dense patch fields, use the extra-short connector design to reduce cable congestion and improve airflow.
For optimal performance, use the cable in shielded environments with proper grounding of patch panels and equipment. Avoid running the cable parallel to high-power electrical lines for extended distances, and maintain gentle bend radii when routing through tight spaces. The cable is suitable for high-speed 25/40GBASE-T links and PoE applications when connected to compatible hardware.
