The cable uses a Cat 6a construction with pair-in-metal-foil (PiMF) shielding for each twisted pair and an overall braided shield to minimise crosstalk and electromagnetic interference. The 20-metre length in a neutral grey jacket makes it suitable for longer runs between switches, patch panels and network devices in offices and data centres.
The S/FTP PiMF design provides effective suppression of near-end and far-end crosstalk as well as external electromagnetic noise, improving signal integrity over longer distances compared with unshielded alternatives. The Cat 6a specification supports higher bandwidths and frequencies up to 500 MHz, enabling stable 10GBASE-T performance where infrastructure supports it.
