Thermostatic Radiator Valve Herz TS-98-V 1/2" (model 1762367)
Thermostatic Radiator Valve Herz TS-98-V 1/2" (model 1762367)
Thermostatic Radiator Valve Herz TS-98-V 1/2" is a mechanical control valve for radiator circuits designed to regulate flow and maintain a set room temperature. The valve is made for use with standard 1/2" radiator connections and is suitable for both replacement and new installations where direct local temperature control at the radiator is required. It is compatible with conventional heating systems and provides a proportional adjustment of flow according to the thermostatic head fitted.
The Herz TS-98-V offers precise mechanical regulation of radiator flow without requiring electrical power, enabling stable room temperature control through a thermostatic actuator. Its design supports straightforward installation on radiators with 1/2" connections and reliable operation in residential and commercial heating circuits. The valve construction is intended to provide long service life and maintain sealing under typical heating pressures and temperatures.
Fit the Herz TS-98-V valve to the radiator inlet or outlet using the compatible 1/2" connection fittings and ensure a secure, leak-free joint. Attach a compatible thermostatic head to the valve spindle; the valve modulates water flow according to the temperature setting on the thermostatic head. When commissioning, purge air from the radiator and check correct operation across the thermostat range. Periodic inspection for leaks and correct movement of the thermostatic head ensures reliable performance.
For best results use a thermostatic head matched to the valve and ensure the heating system is balanced so that individual radiator control is effective. Avoid installing the thermostatic head where it will be affected by drafts, direct sunlight or other local heat sources that could cause inaccurate temperature sensing.
