Suction Hose Basket 38 mm (1½") with 2 GBS Clamps — Hikoki SSF038
The Hikoki Suction Hose Basket SSF038 is a 38 mm (1½") inlet strainer for suction hoses, designed to protect pumps and fluid-transfer equipment from debris and coarse particles. Constructed for reliable performance on construction sites and general dewatering tasks, the basket attaches directly to standard suction hoses to reduce the risk of clogging and mechanical damage to pumps and tools.
The suction basket provides effective coarse-particle filtration without significantly restricting flow, helping to maintain pump efficiency and reduce maintenance intervals. Supplied with two GBS clamps, it ensures a secure connection to 38 mm (1½") hoses and minimizes the chance of leaks or disconnection under suction. The component is compact and simple to install or remove for cleaning.
Fit the suction hose basket to the end of a 38 mm (1½") suction hose, positioning the basket inlet inside the water source or sump area. Slide the supplied GBS clamps over the hose connection and tighten them to secure the basket in place, ensuring a watertight fit. Operate the pump according to its instructions and periodically inspect the basket for accumulated debris; stop the pump and remove the basket for cleaning when flow is reduced or visible blockages occur.
Use the basket where coarse debris (stones, leaves, large sediment) is expected; avoid submerging in heavily silty conditions for prolonged periods without regular inspection. Clean the basket after each use or when performance drops, and check clamp tightness before each operation to maintain reliable suction and protect pump components.
