Network switch Hikvision NS-0106P-35 — 6 ports, PoE support
Hikvision NS-0106P-35 is a compact 6-port network switch with Power over Ethernet (PoE) support, intended for small networks and installations of IP devices. The unit offers six Ethernet ports that combine data transmission and power delivery over a single cable, simplifying wiring for cameras, access points and other PoE-capable devices. Its form factor and straightforward functionality make it appropriate for CCTV, VoIP endpoints and small office or home network environments where centralized powering and simple connectivity are needed.
The switch integrates PoE on multiple ports to deliver both network connectivity and electrical power to compatible devices, reducing the need for separate power adapters and additional cabling. Its compact size enables installation in limited spaces such as network cabinets, small racks or behind equipment. The device is designed for ease of deployment and basic plug-and-play operation, allowing quick connection of IP cameras and access points without complex configuration.
The NS-0106P-35 is intended for small-scale deployments and does not replace managed or enterprise-class switches where advanced features such as VLAN segmentation, QoS configuration, Layer 3 routing or extensive traffic monitoring are required. For larger networks needing many ports, higher aggregate bandwidth, or advanced management capabilities, this compact PoE switch may be insufficient.
Place the switch on a stable surface or mount it within a suitable cabinet. Connect the switch to your local network by linking one port to the router or upstream switch. Plug PoE-capable devices (IP cameras, access points, VoIP phones) into the PoE ports using standard Ethernet cables; these ports will supply data and power automatically when the connected device supports PoE. Use non-PoE ports, if available, for standard wired devices. Ensure the total power consumption of connected devices does not exceed the switch’s available PoE budget as specified by the manufacturer.
For reliable operation, route Cat5e or Cat6 Ethernet cables of appropriate length and quality, avoid exceeding the switch’s PoE power budget, and place the switch in a ventilated location away from direct heat sources. If deploying multiple cameras or high-power devices, calculate combined power requirements and consider a higher-capacity or managed PoE switch when necessary.
