Unipolar Junction Box HiSmart NV821815 500A – solar PV junction box, single-pole, 500 A
HiSmart NV821815 is a unipolar junction box rated for 500 A, designed for photovoltaic (PV) and electrical distribution systems. The single-pole junction box provides a protected connection point for cable connections or branches and is suitable for installation on DIN rails in electrical panels and PV combiner boxes. A transparent cover allows visual inspection of cable terminations while the PA (nylon) flame-retardant housing and brass-plated terminals ensure insulation, mechanical strength and reliable conductivity.
The junction box supports up to 500 A and is compatible with AC/DC voltages up to 690–1000 V AIEC. Its body is made of PA nylon with V0 UL94 flame-retardant rating, and the brass-plated terminals are corrosion-resistant and durable. The transparent cover enables quick visual checks without disassembly, and the design is intended for simple DIN-rail mounting for straightforward integration into electrical and PV installations.
Mount the junction box on a standard DIN rail inside the electrical panel or PV combiner enclosure. Route the cables into the appropriate terminal entries and secure conductors under the brass-plated terminals according to the specified cable capacity. Ensure the transparent cover is closed to allow visual inspection and to protect connections. Observe polarity and system voltage limits when making DC connections in PV applications.
Use the HiSmart NV821815 only within its rated current and voltage limits, and follow local electrical codes. Verify cable cross-sections match the listed capacities and tighten terminals to manufacturer torque specifications where available. For PV installations, ensure proper string fusing and grounding according to system design.
