Home It bird net with a 15×15 mm mesh in a 2×10 m roll is a lightweight protective netting designed to prevent birds from entering or nesting in selected areas. The flexible material conforms to frames, posts or irregular surfaces and can be cut to fit specific openings. Supplied as a continuous roll, the net provides coverage for balconies, terraces, gardens, rafters, vents and other locations where birds create nuisance or damage.
Advantages
The 15×15 mm mesh offers a balance between small aperture protection and airflow, keeping small birds and nestlings out while maintaining visibility and ventilation. The roll format enables custom cuts for exact fitting and minimizes waste. The net's lightweight construction makes handling and installation easier without requiring heavy-duty fixings, and the material resists deformation so it remains effective when stretched across openings.
Suitable for
- Balconies and terraces
- Garden borders and flower beds
- Roof rafters and eaves
- Ventilation openings and ducts
- Pergolas, gazebos and outdoor structures
Key specifications
- Mesh size: 15 × 15 mm
- Roll dimensions: 2 m × 10 m
- Material: lightweight flexible netting
- Color: typically neutral (suitable for unobtrusive installation)
- Cut-to-fit: yes — can be trimmed to required shape
How to use
Measure the area to be protected and cut the net from the roll allowing sufficient overlap at edges and attachment points. Attach the net to frames, posts or structural elements using appropriate fasteners such as clips, cable ties or staples, ensuring the mesh is taut to prevent sagging and gaps. For vents or small openings, trim the net precisely and secure it around the perimeter to maintain airflow while preventing bird entry. Regularly inspect the installations for wear or loose fixings and re-tension or replace sections if needed.
Usage recommendations
When installing on exposed edges or sharp corners, protect the netting with edge trim or routing to prevent abrasion. Use UV-resistant fixings and check tension seasonally to maintain effective bird exclusion and prolong the net's service life.
