Fibre optic audio cable Hosa OPT-103 TOSLINK to TOSLINK 0.9 m Black
Hosa OPT-103 is a 0.9 m fibre optic (TOSLINK) audio cable with TOSLINK connectors on both ends. It provides a short, reliable optical link for digital audio between devices such as TVs, soundbars, AV receivers and DACs. The cable transmits PCM and multichannel optical signals, including S/PDIF formats and surround formats such as Dolby Digital and DTS, while remaining immune to electromagnetic interference.
The Hosa OPT-103 uses a fibre optic core to eliminate ground loop hum and radio-frequency interference, delivering a clean digital connection for audio systems. Its compact length and standard TOSLINK connectors make it convenient for short runs behind entertainment units or desktop setups. The cable supports both stereo PCM and multichannel streams, ensuring compatibility with a wide range of consumer and professional audio equipment.
Insert one TOSLINK connector into the optical output of the source device and the other connector into the optical input of the receiving device. Ensure the connectors are aligned with the square TOSLINK ports and press gently until seated. Verify the source device is set to output digital optical audio and select the appropriate input on the receiver or soundbar. For best results, avoid sharp bends and kinks in the cable and maintain a clear optical path at each connector.
Use the Hosa OPT-103 for short, direct connections where space is limited. Keep the cable run under its specified length to ensure optimal signal integrity, avoid running alongside heavy electrical cables, and store connectors with dust caps or in a dry environment when not in use.
