Install the transceiver into an available SFP+ slot on a compatible HP BladeSystem c-Class module or other SFP+ capable equipment while the host port is powered according to your equipment guidelines. Connect appropriate multimode duplex fiber patch cords (LC connectors) and verify link status through the host system interface. Ensure fiber polarity and connector cleanliness before insertion. The module is hot-pluggable and can be replaced or inserted without powering down compatible systems, following standard data-center maintenance procedures.
Use OM4 multimode fiber to achieve the maximum supported reach of up to 400 m; OM3 fiber supports up to approximately 300 m.
