Managed Switch HPE Aruba Networking Aruba CX 8360 v2 L3 1U 4800 Gbit/s
The HPE Aruba Networking Aruba CX 8360 v2 is a managed L3 switch designed for high-performance campus and data center networks. The series addresses application, security and scalability requirements for mobile, cloud and IoT environments and is suitable for next-generation core and aggregation layers as well as virtual and cloud data center deployments. The first model in the series is the Aruba CX 8360-48Y6C v2, offering a switching capacity of 4800 Gbit/s and support for a large MAC address table.
The Aruba CX 8360 v2 uses a modular cloud-native architecture with AOS-CX to simplify management through automation, REST APIs and Python scripting, enabling integration with external workflows. An embedded analytics engine provides proactive detection and actionable insights for troubleshooting, while continual state synchronization and microservices-based software processes deliver fault tolerance and high availability. The Aruba Network Analytics Engine (NAE) supplies advanced telemetry and a time series database for operational data, trend analysis and capacity planning. Software-defined orchestration via Aruba Fabric Composer allows leaf-spine provisioning and unified fabric management across rack-scale infrastructures.
Install the Aruba CX 8360 v2 in a standard 19-inch rack (1U) and connect uplinks and downstream devices according to your network design. Configure the switch using the ArubaOS-CX CLI, REST APIs or Python scripts depending on your automation requirements. Use Aruba Fabric Composer to orchestrate leaf-spine fabrics and simplify provisioning across multiple switches. Enable the Aruba Network Analytics Engine to collect telemetry, monitor health and troubleshoot congestion or performance issues. Maintain synchronous state across dual control planes when deploying Aruba VSX for high availability.
Deploy the Aruba CX 8360 v2 in environments that require high throughput and redundancy, enable NAE for telemetry-driven operations, and use Fabric Composer to automate fabric provisioning and lifecycle management.
