The HPE Smart Storage Battery P01363-B21 is a lithium-ion, low-halogen centralized backup power module designed to preserve write-cache contents on HPE Smart Array Gen10 and Gen9 performance (P-class) RAID controllers during unexpected server power loss. It also provides backup power for HPE NVDIMMs to enable in-flight DRAM data to be transferred to non-volatile NAND flash. The battery is supplied in black and one unit is sufficient per server because it can support multiple devices.
